With 16 losing seasons in their last 17, the Clippers have long been a picture of futility in the NBA. That made their win over the Heat, who had been world beaters lately and winners of 21 of 22, that much more impressive. So much for the Clippers building off the momentum of their big home win over the Heat this week. The Clips headed to Oakland to take on Golden State last night and their in state rivals took it to them 122-112. The Clippers had another monstrous first quarter as they scored 39 points, but their defense struggled as they also gave up 35. The Warriors would go on to take the lead in the second and never relinquished it. Monta Ellis led all scorers with 30 points and Stephen Curry added 23 points while hitting 5 of his 7 3-point attempts as the Warriors snapped a 2-game losing streak. Blake Griffin had 28 points and 13 rebounds as he continued his strong rookie campaign and Eric Gordon went over 25 points for the 4th straight game, but it wasn't enough. The Clippers converted just 3 of 14 shots from long range compared to 14 of 26 for the Warriors as Los Angeles fell 13-25 and just 3-12 away from the Staples Center.
