Linsanity continued last night as the Knicks cruised to their 7th straight win behind another strong performance from point guard Jeremy Lin. Lin scored just 10 points on 4 of 6 shooting, but dished out a career high 13 assists including a series of alley-oops to Tyson Chandler and Landry Fields as New York cruised to a 100-85 win over the struggling Sacramento Kings. Lin is averaging 24.4 points and 9.1 assists during the streak and the Knicks are now back to .500 for the first time since they were 6-6 on January 14th. The Knicks will try to make it 8 in a row tomorrow night against the New Orleans Hornets.

AC MILAN HAMMERS ARSENAL, BENFICA LOSES LATE

Arsenal's dreams of Champions League glory were completely shattered yesterday as AC Milan took a commanding lead in their Round of 16 pairing with a 4-0 win at the San Siro. Kevin Prince Boateng opened the scoring by drilling a dipping shot off the underside of the crossbar just 15 minutes into the match for the early 1-0 lead and Milan never looked back. Brazilian Robinho scored goals on each side of the intermission and Zlatan Ibrahimovic hammered in a late penalty kick to cap the scoring. The win was Milan's first over an English club since May of 2007 when they defeated Liverpool in the Champions League Final.

Elsewhere, Zenit St Petersburg overcame sub-zero temperatures in Russia and rallied for a 3-2 win over Benfica (Portugal). Benfica appeared to salvage a draw in the match when Óscar Cardozo scored with under 5 minutes to play, but Roman Shirokov scored his second goal of the match just one minute later giving the Russians the win. Sergei Semak also scored for Zenit while Maxi Pereira opened the scoring for Benfica.

USA ADDS SCOTLAND TO 2012 SCHEDULE

The United States announced yet another tuneup match for World Cup Qualifying yesterday. Already with matches slated at home against Brazil (May 30th) and in Toronto against Canada (June 3rd), the U.S. will now also host Scotland on May 26th in Jacksonville. This will be the 7th time that the U.S. has taken on Scotland, ranked 48th in the world, dating back to 1949, but the U.S. has just one win and two draws in the series. This will be the first meeting between the two countries since a 0-0 draw before the 1998 World Cup in Washington D.C. The U.S. starts World Cup Qualifying on June 8th against Antigua and Barbuda.

RONDO GOES FOR CAREER HIGH 35 IN LOSS

One game after putting up a triple double in a win over the Bulls, Rajon Rondo scored a career high 35 points against the Detroit Pistons. However, despite Rondo's performance the Celtics - playing without injured Kevin Garnett - came up short against Detroit, falling 98-88. Rondo took a career high 27 shots in the game surpassing his previous high of 23 set in last year's postseason against the Knicks.
