OMAR GONZALEZ JOINS CHANDLER IN NUREMBERG

2011 MLS Defender of the Year Omar Gonzalez is headed overseas on loan to German club Nuremberg. The German club is currently in 15th place in the Bundesliga with a record of 5-9-3 and have conceded 28 goals in 17 matches. Gonzalez will join up with fellow U.S. Men's National Team defender Timmy Chandler on the Nuremberg backline. The 21 year old Chandler has started 16 of Nuremberg's 17 matches this year scoring one goal and adding an assist.
JONES SUSPENDED FOR EIGHT WEEKS

Schalke 04 and U.S. National Team midfielder Jermaine Jones has been suspended for eight weeks after being charged with intentionally stomping on an opponent's injured foot during a match last month. Jones is banned from any of Schalke 04's competitive or exhibition matches until March 1. He will miss six Bundesliga games and two Europa League games but remains eligible for selection for the United States national team's exhibition game Feb. 29 at Italy. The physical Jones has received 7 yellow cards and a red card in 16 matches for Schalke this season. It remains to be seen if Jurgen Klinsmann still has him in his plans moving forward.

Who needs Dwyane Wade or LeBron James? With two of the Big Three sidelined due to injuries, Chris Bosh scored 33 points and 14 rebounds, Mario Chalmers had 29 points 7 rebounds and 8 assists and Terrel Harris contributed 9 points and 14 rebounds off the bench as the Heat held the Hawks scoreless in the third overtime en route to a 116-109 win. The Heat are now 7-1 on the year and with tonight's win have now successfully avenged their only loss of the season.
