Like Father Like Son

Just like his father before him, Prince Fielder is going to be a Detroit Tiger. After seven seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers, Fielder has reportedly signed with the reigning AL Central Champs for nine years and $214 million. This is a great pickup for the Tigers who just lost their DH, Victor Martinez, for the season to an ACL tear and now are immediately able to fill the void he left and then some. Fielder, 27, will now be teamed up with Miguel Cabrera, 28, in the middle of the Tigers order for at least the next four seasons (Cabrera is signed through 2015) immediately giving Detroit's offensive capabilities a substantial boost. No disrespect to Martinez who hit .330 last year, but he can't do the things that Prince Fielder can do. Cecil's first year in Detroit he hit 51 home runs. Think Prince can top that?
