USA Women's Hoops Roster Finalized

Asjha Jones was named the 12th and final player to the USA Women's Olympic Basketball Team on Monday bringing the total number of former Connecticut Huskies on the roster to six, in other words half the team. While it was initially speculated that Baylor's 6'8" sensation Brittney Griner would grab the final spot, Griner announced last week she was foregoing potential participation in the Olympic Games this summer because of a family illness and summer-school commitments and that opened the door for Jones.

Jones won a pair of National Championships at Connecticut before being drafted with the 4th overall pick in the 2002 WNBA Draft. A 2-time all-star and the winner of the EuroLeague Women Final Eight MVP award this year, she currently plays power forward for the Connecticut Sun. Jones averaged 13.3 points and 6.4 rebounds for the Sun while starting every game last season.

Here's a look at the final 12-player roster for the U.S.
