Quick Observations - From Big Ben's Hat to Lob City

1) The hat Ben Roethlisberger wore after last night's 20-3 loss to San Francisco was ridiculous. Do you think he lost a bet or something? Was he headed to a rolling 20s party after the game? Did he marry Sarah Marshall? Or maybe he's just doing it so I'm talking about his hat instead of talking about his 3 interceptions.

2) Pittsburgh Steelers Defensive End Brett Keisel's beard is out of control. In a totally awesome sort of way. If my little brother is reading this, this is what you should aspire to look like.

3) The Clippers are going to be in the Sportscenter Top Ten a lot this season. Between Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, it's going to be just a whole lot of dunks in what's already being deemed Lob City. This is Jordan in last night's statement game (if there is a such thing in the preseason) against the Lakers. Notice he dunks over Pau Gasol (7'0") and Andrew Bynum (7'0").

4) Abby Wambach was voted the AP Female Athlete of the Year becoming the first individual soccer player (male or female) to win one of the AP's annual awards. U.S. goalie Hope Solo finished second in the voting which supports the conclusion that she should stick with soccer and not dancing. Congratulations, Abby. Well deserved.
