A List of Players With More Home Runs Than Albert Pujols

The Machine is broken. Albert Pujols went hitless again tonight extending his homerless streak in 2012 to 27 games and 108 at bats. Pujols is hitting just .194 since joining the Angels and has only driven in five runs. To put that in perspective, Houston's Chris Johnson drove in six runs on Wednesday alone.

Some players who currently have more home runs on the year than Albert Pujols:

Scott Rolen
Jason Giambi
Rick Ankiel
Rafael Furcal
Ichiro Suzuki
Brandon Inge
Mark Kotsay
Chone Figgins
Jeff Keppinger
Yadier Molina
Starlin Castro
Tyler Pastornicky
Yamaico Navarro
Daniel Descalso
Chris Denorfia (who I pitched against in college)
Trevor Plouffe
Kirk Nieuwenhuis
Mike Moustakas
Jason Kipnis
Eric Sogard
Clete Thomas
Robert Andino
Cliff Pennington
Freddy Galvis
Devin Mesoraco

Props to you if you can actually name the teams that all 25 of these guys play for without looking it up. And how ridiculous is it that 41 year old Jason Giambi has more home runs and the same amount of RBIs as Albert Pujols this far into the season??? Giambi only had 18 at bats on the year entering play tonight!
