I don't think that even Jack Bauer could help the Cavaliers right now. For the 24th straight game the Cavaliers came up empty setting a new single season record for consecutive losses as they fell to the Portland Trail Blazers 111-105 at home tonight. Wesley Matthews scored 31 points to lead the Blazers and LaMarcus Aldridge contributed 20 and 10 rebounds as Portland bounced back from an ugly loss at Indiana last night and snapped a two game losing streak. Cleveland led as late as 3:20 into the 4th quarter as they once again showed they can be competitive, but Wesley Matthews gave Portland the lead for good with 7:20 to play. Cleveland made one last run getting to within 2 with just over a minute to go, but the Cavs missed their final 4 shots. Seven players for Cleveland finished the game in double digits led by Antawn Jamison's 17. Ramon Sessions had 15 points on 7/11 shooting with 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Daniel Gibson added 12 points and 9 assists off the bench. Cleveland is now 8-43 on the year and head to Dallas to take on the Mavericks, who as winners of 8 straight, are streaking in the opposite direction. Cleveland has Dallas, Detroit and the Clippers this week before their potential epic showdown against the Wizards on Sunday.
