Herculez Strikes Again

Is there any American striker hotter than Herculez Gomez right now? Gomez scored in his sixth straight match for Santos Laguna yesterday with a brilliant header off a corner that left absolutely no chance for the keeper. Santos won the match over Querétaro 2-0.

The 29 year old Gomez now has EIGHT goals and an assist in his last six matches, and if I'm U.S. Coach Jurgen Klinsmann, this definitely has my attention. Gomez and company now get ready to take on Toronto FC on Wednesday in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal matchup. The Canadian-based MLS side has given up 6 goals in its last two matches so don't be surprised if Gomez finds the back of the net again.
