Copa America Update

ARGENTINA 0 COLOMBIA 0

For the second straight match, Argentina failed to get results at home. Now, with just two points through two matches, they find themselves in danger of not making it out of the first round of the tournament, a tournament many people had pegged them to win. Despite a lineup that at one point had four strikers on the field, Lionel Messi, Carlos Tevez, Gonzalo Higuain and Sergio Aguero, they were unable to penetrate a stingy Colombian defense. Led by goalkeeper Luis Enrique "Neco" Martinez, the Colombians have now pitched consecutive shutouts and lead Group A with 4 points. The 28 year old Martinez plays professionally for Once Caldas of the Colombian Primera A. Argentina will face off against Costa Rica in their finally first Round game on July 11th while Colombia will take on Bolivia on July 10th. Argentina has been the runner up in the past two Copa Americas and haven't won the tournament since 1993.
