American striker Jozy Altidore is on the move once again. This team he'll be suiting up for the Dutch club AZ Alkmaar. When we last saw Altidore he had his Gold Cup prematurely ended do to a strained hamstring against Panama in the semifinals. The 21 year old scored against Canada and Guadeloupe in Group play giving him 12 international goals. After starting with the New York Red Bulls in 2006 he joined Villareal for the 2008-2009 season. He appeared in 6 games for the Yellow Submarine during the 2008-2009 season before going on loan to Xerex, then Hull City and finally Bursaspor. He appeared in 3 league games for Villareal last year and scored twice in the Copa del Rey against Poli Ejido.

Kolbeinn Sigthórsson who had 15 goals, just accepted a transfer to Ajax, the reigning Dutch Champions. American fans can be hopeful that Altidore makes the most of his opportunity in the Netherlands and comes back strong as the U.S. gets ready for World Cup Qualifying.
