Fantasy Football Report - Week 10

Back in the win column this week all but assuring us of an 11th straight playoff berth. It wasn't exactly pretty, but as my buddy Rue - who is 9-1 despite having fewer points than 8 other teams in the league - said, it's better to be lucky than good. My two big midseason additions DeMarco Murray and Victor Cruz continue to put up really big numbers for me. Not so much from Jackie Battle, and with Reggie Bush suddenly producing in Miami, I'm probably going to have to make a change in Week 11.

This is always an exciting time of year in Fantasy Football as there's a lot of jockeying for playoff positions and stuff. With just three weeks left in our regular season, only two teams have clinched a playoff spot while 9 other teams can still finish above .500. Here's a look at our standings.

Poor Mario sitting at 0-10. To make things worse, he's a Colts fan. 0-20. Rough year... But enough about my league. Here's a look at who the top performers were at each position in Week 10:

QB - Aaron Rodgers had another big night last night throwing for 250 yards and 4 more touchdown passes as Green Bay blew out Minnesota 45-7. Rodgers has now thrown 28 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions and the Packers are 9-0. Fantasy Points: 30

WR - Larry Fitzgerald caught 7 passes for 146 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the struggling Cardinals stunned the Philadelphia Eagles 21-17. Fantasy Points: 29

RB - Arian Foster tallied up 186 more total yards and a pair of scores as Houston blew out Tampa Bay 37-9. With Matt Schaub out for the remainder of the year though, he's going to need to become even more of a workhorse for the Texans. Fantasy Points: 28

TE - It's Gronk's world, we're all just living in it. Rob Gronkowski caught 8 passes for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Patriots crushed the Jets 37-16 on Sunday night. Fantasy Points: 28

K - Age ain't nothing but a number for John Kasay. The 42 year old connected on 4 field goals including a 52 yarder in regulation and the game winning kick in overtime as the Saints beat Atlanta 26-23.  Fantasy Points: 18

DEF - This is what happens when I pick against the Bears. Chicago's defense forced the Lions into 6 turnovers, returned two of them for touchdowns and sacked Matt Stafford twice in an impressive 37-13 blowout win. Fantasy Points: 30

IDP - A tie here between New England linebacker Rob Ninkovich and Bears cornerback Tim Jennings. Ninkovich picked off Mark Sanchez twice and returned one of those interceptions for a touchdown while Jennings was in on 10 tackles, forced and recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass. Fantasy Points: 16.5
