A quick review of how it all went down:
After playing to a 0-0 draw in Marseille, Manchester United wasted no time getting on the board in the 2nd leg at Old Trafford. Javier Hernandez scored in the 5th minute and then added another in the 75th. The insurance goal proved to be huge as Marseille got on the board when Wes Brown headed the ball into his own net with under ten minutes to play, but it wasn't enough as Man U became the second English side to go through to the Round of 8.

Bayern Munich looked to avenge its loss in the Champions League final against Inter Milan this year, and seemed well on their way with a 1-0 win in Italy on the first leg. But Samuel Eto'o scored in the 3rd minute to even things up and then things started getting crazy. The Germans scored a pair of goals in the first half, one from Mario Gomez and the second from Thomas Muller giving them a two goal aggregate lead. But the defending champs battled back yet again. First it was Wesley Sneijder evening the score of the game at 2 in the 63rd minute, and then it was Goran Pandev, the Macedonian striker who came through in the 88th minute with the game winner putting Inter through on away goals. Yet another rough loss for Bayern Munich.
