Inching Closer to Selection Sunday

Tomorrow's the Big Day. Here's an update on which teams you can expect to be seeing on your bracket:

Patriot League - Bucknell (25-8) defeated Lafayette last night 72-57 to become just the 5th top seed to win a conference tournament this season. It marks the first time since 2006 that Bucknell will be headed to the NCAA tourney since 2006. In 2005 they knocked off Kansas as a 14 seed 64-63.

Conference USA - Memphis (25-9) stormed back from a 9 point halftime deficit to defeat UTEP 67-66 and advance the NCAAs. Joe Jackson hit a pair of free throws with 7 seconds left for Memphis and Christian Polk's jumper at the buzzer fell short for the Miners. When the two teams met during the regular season, UTEP won the game 74-47.

American East - Boston University (21-13) got 2 free throws with 2.4 seconds left from John Holland to beat Stony Brook 56-54 and  send Boston to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2002. BU beat Stony Brook in all 3 of their meetings this season.
