#1 Hope Solo - The 29 year old keeper has 92 caps with the U.S. National Team good enough for second all time among American goalies. Solo is also ranked second in U.S. women's history in wins and shutouts. In the past six years, Solo has lost just one game for the National Team. Solo was the starting goalie on the 2007 World Cup team for the first four games of the tournament (3 wins and a draw) before being benched in favor of Briana Scurry for their semifinal match against Brazil that the U.S. would lose 4-0. Solo bounced back helping lead the U.S.'s 2008 Olympic Team to the gold medal. Solo had shoulder surgery in September but appears to have made a full recovery.

#18 Nicole Barnhart - 29 year old keeper with 39 caps including 8 starts for the U.S. in 2011 while Hope Solo was rehabbing her shoulder injury. Barnhart is 26-3-3 all time for the United States and was the #3 goalie for the U.S. in the 2007 World Cup.
#21 Jillian Loyden - 26 year old keeper who arrived on the National scene in 2010 making her first and thus far only appearance in a start against China in October that she won 2-1. Loyden owns Villanova's records for wins, shutouts and minutes played.
Defenders
#2 Heather Mitts - 32 year old defender with 115 caps and a pair of goals for the National Team. Mitts first appeared for the United States in 1999 and has been a key cog since 2004. Mitts missed the 2007 World Cup when she suffered an ACL injury against Canada just before the tournament. Mitts has again battled injuries this year, starting just 1 of 8 U.S. games, but should be ready to go for the World Cup.
#3 Christie Rampone - 35 year old defender and U.S. Captain, Rampone ranks 5th all time for the U.S. with 234 caps with 4 goals. The 2011 World cup will be Rampone's 4th as she was a member of the 1999, 2003 and 2007 teams. Rampone made her international debut back in 1997 and has started all 8 games for the U.S. this year.

#4 Becky Sauerbrunn - 26 year old defender relatively new to the National Team scene. Sauerbrunn has made 5 of her 8 career appearances with the U.S. squad in 2011 including 3 starts. A former captain at the U-19 level, Sauerbrunn made her international debut in 2008.
#6 Amy LaPeilbet - 29 year old defender who like Mitts, missed the 2007 World Cup due to a knee injury. LePeilbet has 47 caps and has started 3 games for the U.S. in 2011. LaPeilbet made her national team debut in 2004.
#11 Ali Krieger - 26 year older defender who has played professionally in Europe for FFC Frankfurt the past 4 years, Krieger has 15 caps for the U.S. National Team. In 2011, she's made 5 starts and had an assist against Finland during the Algarve Cup. Krieger made her debut for the U.S. in 2008.
#14 Stephanie Cox - 25 year old defender who already has 71 caps for the National Team. Cox was a member of the 2007 World Cup team where she started all six U.S. games and has made 7 appearances, including 4 starts in 2011.
#19 Rachel Buehler - 25 year old defender named co-captain in 2010, Buehler has 56 caps and scored her first international goal against Haiti in 2010. Buehler debuted for the U.S. in 2008 during the Algarve Cup.

Midfielders
#5 Lindsay Tarpley - A versatile midfielder who has also spent time playing up top for the U.S., the 27 year old Tarpley has 134 caps for the U.S. team and 32 international goals. Tarpley missed 2009 and part of 2010 with a knee injury, but has a pair of goals, one against Canada and another against Norway, and added an assist in 4 appearances with the U.S. in 2011. Tarpley was a member of the 2007 World Cup team.
#7 Shannon Boxx - 33 year veteran central midfielder with 143 caps and 22 goals for the U.S. Boxx made her national team debut in 2003 scoring goals in each of her first two matches leading up to the 2003 World Cup. A member of the U.S.'s World Cup teams in 2003 and 2007, Boxx has 3 World Cup goals to her credit, but she was sent off during the U.S.'s loss to Brazil in the 2007 semifinals. In 2011, Boxx has made 7 starts scoring a goal against Finland and adding a pair of assists.

#9 Heather O'Reilly - 26 year old right midfielder who is in her 10th year with the National Team going back to 2002 when she was just 17. O'Reilly has 141 caps with 28 goals including a goal in the Algarve Cup Championship against Iceland in 2011. Missed the 2003 World Cup as a result of a broken leg, but scored 2 goals as a member of the 2007 World Cup team.
#10 Carli Lloyd - The 28 year old attacking midfielder has 108 caps and 27 goals for the National Team. Lloyd was the MVP of the 2007 Algarve Cup and scored the game winning goal in overtime of the Gold Medal Game in the 2008 Olympics. Lloyd has a team high 5 goals in 8 games in 2011 including 2 in the Four Nations Cup and 3 more in the Algarve Cup. Lloyd was a member of the 2007 World Cup Team and debuted with the National Team in 2005.

#15 Megan Rapinoe - 25 year old midfielder who debuted for the U.S. back in 2006, but was forced to miss all of 2007 and 2008 with knee injuries. Now healthy again, Rapinoe has 10 goals in 28 caps including goal against Japan and England this year.
#16 Lori Lindsey - The 30 year old midfielder led the U.S. in assists in 2010 with 7 despite making only 6 starts. Lindsey has 19 caps for the National Team, including 5 this year, but has yet to score for the U.S.
#17 Tobin Heath - 22 year old midfielder is the second youngest player on the U.S. World Cup roster. Heath already has 25 caps and has scored a pair of international goals. Missed all of 2010 with an ankle injury that required surgery. In 2011, Heath has made 6 appearances, 4 as a sub, and notched 2 assists.
Forwards
#8 Amy Rodriguez - 24 year old striker with 15 international goals in 62 caps. Rodriguez has a pair of goals and 3 assists in 7 2011 starts. She scored in the Four Nations Cup against China and also struck in the Algarve Cup against Japan. Rodriguez made her National Team debut in 2005 and assisted on Lloyd's game winner in the 2008 Olympics.
#12 Lauren Cheney - 23 year old striker with 13 goals in 39 appearances. Cheney has made 7 appearances and 5 starts in 2011 scoring goals against Canada in the Four Nations Cup and Iceland in the Championship Game of the Algarve Cup. Cheney was the second leading scorer for the U.S. in 2010 with 7 goals and a pair of assists.
#13 Alex Morgan - At age 21, Morgan is the youngest player on the U.S. World Cup roster. Morgan has appeared in all 8 U.S. games in 2011 and despite making just 2 starts, already has 3 goals scoring twice against Finland and again against Iceland in the Algarve Cup. In her International career, she has 16 appearances and 7 goals.
#20 Abby Wambach - At age 30, Wambach is currently the United States' 3rd all time leading scorer with 117 goals in 154 caps. Wambach led the U.S. with 16 goals and 4 assists in 18 starts in 2010, but has played sparingly in 2011 with 4 appearances as a substitute and just 1 start. Wambach was a member of the U.S. World Cup teams in 2003 and 2007 leading the U.S. in scoring in both tournaments with 9 World Cup goals to her credit. Wambach won the Silver Shoe at the 2007 World Cup with 6 goals.
