24 year old Scottish professional tennis player ranked 4th in the world, Murray has never won a Grand Slam losing in all 3 finals he's played in (2010 Australian, 2011 Australian, 2008 U.S.). The quarterfinals is the farthest he's ever made it at the French Open, also getting there in 2009. Murray reached the quarters by beating Eric Prodon, Simone Bolelli, Michael Berrer and Viktor Troicki. Murray will next take on Juan Ignacio Chela.

(5) ROBIN SODERLING - Sweden

26 year old Swede who has reached the French Open finals twice, but never won a Grand Slam. Soderling reached the French Open finals in both 2009 and 2010, but lost first to Roger Federer and then to Rafael Nadal. Soderling has defeated Ryan Harrison, Albert Ramos, Leonardo Mayer and Gilles Simon so far in the tournament.

(9) GAEL MONFILS - France

France's last hope to win the Open, the 24 year old Monfils has only made it past the French Open quarterfinals once, back in 2008 when he made it to the semifinals. No Frenchman has won the Open since 1983 when Yannick Noah defeated Mats Wilander in straight sets. That streak will continue another year following Monfils' straight set defeat at the ends of Roger Federer today. Monfils defeated Bjorn Phau, Guillaume Rufin, Steve Darcis and David Ferrer to reach the quarterfinals.

JUAN IGNACIO CHELA - Argentina

Currently ranked 34th in the world, Chela defeated Tim Smyczek, Kevin Anderson, Lukas Rosol and Alejandro Falla to reach the quarterfinals.
