Fantasy Football Week in Review - Week 4

And the slide continues as we follow a disturbing trend where each week we put up fewer points than we did the week before. Still no Antonio Gates, Reggie Bush has been abysmal in Miami, the Jets are playing like garbage, LeSean McCoy ran for under 20 yards, my two linebackers combined for like 5 tackles and a sprained MCL... Not exactly a recipe for success. Meanwhile, my opponent gets an 80 yard touchdown pass to tight end Jared Cook, 3 touchdowns from the Ravens defense, and monster days from Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald. Still, at 2-2, things could certainly be a lot worse and we head into the bye-week phase of the season sitting in 8th place.

Here's a look at who the top performers were at each position in Week 4:

QB - Aaron Rodgers had just a monster of a game for the Packers this weekend against Denver. Not only did he throw for 408 yards and four touchdowns, he also ran for a pair of scores giving him six touchdowns on the day. Fantasy Points: 46

WR - Hakeem Nicks had 10 catches for 162 yards and the game winning touchdown as the Giants came from behind to defeat the Arizona Cardinals 31-27. Nicks' previous career high was 130 yards set last year against Houston. Fantasy Points: 27

RB - I had Beanie Wells on my fantasy team like all of last season, and he never produced. On Sunday he ran for 138 yards and 3 touchdowns in a losing effort against the Giants. By comparison he had two touchdowns the entire 2010 season. Fantasy Points: 27

TE - Imagine how good Jimmy Graham would have been if he hadn't spent all that time in college as a basketball player. Graham caught 10 passes for 132 yards as he eclipsed 100 yards for the second straight week. Fantasy Points: 25

K - Ryan Succop connected on field goals of  40, 24, 51, 54 and 22 yards as the Chiefs defeated the Vikings 22-17 and got their first win of the season. Fantasy Points: 21

DEF - Baltimore's defense outscored its offense as they forced four turnovers and returned three of them for touchdowns as they beat up the Jets 34-17 on Sunday night.  Fantasy Points: 32

IDP - For the second week in a row a Colts linebacker gets the honors here. This time it's Kavell Conner , owned in just 2% of fantasy leagues who racked up 18 tackles (14 solo) against the Bucs on Monday night. Fantasy Points: 16
