2011 All-WNBA Team Announced

Here's a look at your 2011 All-WNBA Team:


Tamika Catchings - Indiana Fever - 15.5 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 3.5 apg, 43.8% shooting

Catchings, the league's MVP, helped the Fever finish first in the Eastern Conference this year with a record of 21-13. The 32 year old forward has played her entire 10 year WNBA career with Indiana and this is the 6th time she's made the All-WNBA First Team.

Diana Taurasi - Phoenix Mercury - 21.6 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 3.6 apg, 44.9% shooting

Taurasi led the WNBA in scoring this year, the fourth straight year she's done so. The 29 year old guard also hit a league high 81 three-pointers and was named to the All-WNBA First Team for the seventh time in eight years in the league.

Lindsay Whalen - Minnesota Lynx - 13.6 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 5.9 apg, 51.1% shooting

Whalen has helped lead the Lynx to the WNBA finals this year against Atlanta in just her second year in Minnesota. Whalen led the league in assists this season while shooting career highs of 51.1% from the field, and 40.5% from long range. This is the second time she's been named to the All-WNBA First Team. 

Angel McCoughtry - Atlanta Dream - 21.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.5 apg, 42.4% shooting

The 2009 WNBA Rookie of the Year has improved in each of her first three seasons in the league as this year she again set career highs in both scoring and rebounding. The Dream's leading scorer, who just narrowly missed beating out Taurasi for the scoring title, has Atlanta in the finals against Minnesota, and is on the All-WNBA First Team for the first time.

Tina Charles - Connecticut Sun - 17.6 ppg, 11.0 rpg, 1.9 apg, 46.8% shooting

The first overall pick in the 2010 draft, and the 2010 rookie of the year, was one of just two players this year to average a double-double. The 6'4" Charles has been the league's leading rebounder in both of her WNBA seasons and is on the All-WNBA First Team for the first time.


Sylvia Fowles - Chicago Sky - 20.0 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 0.6 apg, 59.1% shooting
Sue Bird - Seattle Storm - 14.7 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 4.9 apg, 44.9% shooting
Cappie Pondexter - New York Liberty - 17.4 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 4.7 apg, 40.2% shooting
Penny Taylor - Phoenix Mercury - 16.7 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 4.7 apg, 51.1% shooting
Seimone Augustus - Minnesota Lynx - 16.2 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.2 apg, 50.4% shooting
